If you’re looking for something to do this week, there’s a couple of awesome events on in Glasgow!
First up, on Wednesday night there is the monthly meeting of SMAC. SMAC? It’s the Scottish Macaroni Appreciation Society which is held at Sloans! Mac cheese is one of my all time favourite things to eat and I have been along to SMAC a few times. It’s a great night and a good price (just £11.95 for 4 different serves of macaroni cheese – and trust me, you will not leave hungry!).
This month you’ll get the added bonus of Man (0r Lady) v Mac – an eating challenge to see who can scoff 3kgs of mac the quickest. While I’m not one for eating challenges I think this could be a good laugh to watch!
You can still nab yourself a ticket over on EventBrite.
Next up is Whole Foods Giffnock’s 2nd birthday! Wow, time flies. I really love this foodie-heaven shop and have to restrain myself when I visit so I don’t walk out with the whole store. On Thursday night they’re having a Street Food Party in store – £25 gets you SIX food stations to enjoy:
- In-house smoked scallop and king prawn seafood skewers
- Scottish venison and blueberry hotdogs handmade in-store
- A trio of fish, meat and veggie tacos
- Funky cheese fondue with dipping delights
- Nibbles from sushi samurais Genji
- A hearty portion of all-American pumpkin pie
You also get a goodie bag, vouchers plus there is a DJ, beauty experts plus a bar available to buy drinks. Sounds like a truly epic night! Tickets are still available through Itison.
I always post the best-of-the-best Glasgow events over on Yelp Glasgow as well – no wading through pages and pages of gig listings – just the most interesting and exciting events that are on in our beautiful city! So if you’ve got anything to add, please do!
So, will you be popping along to either of these mouthwatering events?
